2018 Winter Commissioning Ceremony

On 13 December 2018, the Cardinal Battalion commissioned 5 new Second Lieutenants into the United States Army. These new Lieutenants now accept the exceptional responsibility of being a Commissioned Officer.

LTC Murnock gives the Oath of Commissioned Officers to the five new 2LTs.

On 13 December 2018, the Cardinal Battalion commissioned 5 new Second Lieutenants into the United States Army. The ceremony symbolized years of hard work and dedication and also marked the moment where the five officers no longer live by the Cadet Creed, but eagerly accept the exceptional responsibility of being a Commissioned Army Officer. 

The five newly commissioned officers were:

2LT Leah Harper: Signal Corps, Kentucky National Guard

2LT Kendall Howerton: Infantry, Active Duty

2LT Tyler Ley: Chemical Corps, Army Reserves

2LT Jacob Robinson: Nurse Corps, Active Duty

2LT Matthew Whitehouse: Adjutant General Corps, Kentucky National Guard
