2018 Spring Commissioning

University of Louisville Army ROTC commissioned 17 new Second Lieutenants on 11 MAY 2018 into the United States Army. These new Lieutenants take the Oath of Commissioned Officers. This is a defining moment where they no longer live by the Cadet Creed but eagerly accept the exceptional responsibility of being a Commissioned Officer.

Soldiers & Cadets Compete for German Badge

More than 150 soldiers and ROTC cadets competed for a rare German Proficiency Badge at the University of Louisville. This military decoration is one of only a handful of foreign awards allowed to be worn on a U.S. Army uniform and is given to men and women who meet or exceed the standards for a list of physical tasks that rival the Olympic games.

Cadets Attend CULP Program

Over the Summer 4 cadets were able to participate in the Cultural Understanding and Language Program (CULP). Cadets Brandon Elswick, Koty Caldwell, and Nick Seibold traveled to Burkina Faso to teach english to cadets from several countries while Cadet Joey Ward traveled to Spain to train with their Airborne unit.
