DESCRIPTION:Digging into the origin of the very word hybrid\, you come
across a Latin term rarely used before 1850\; the term is IBRIDA. Hyb
rid/ Ibrida is considered an amalgamation of disparate parts resulting
in a uniquely homogenized whole. A curious collection of biomorphic f
orms inspired by botany\, entomology\, and human anatomy embody my scu
lptural work. The inside turns outside\, the micro turns macro and eac
h piece conveys human attributes through poise and posture. I invite m
y audience to approach each piece with thoughts of wonder\, possibilit
y\, protection and vulnerability during my Master’s Thesis Exhibit a
t The Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center.
