The purpose of the Inclusion and Equity Intern program in the College of Arts and Sciences Office of International, Diversity, and Outreach Programs is to provide students with an opportunity to apply their education and passion for inclusion and equity to actual programming.

The College of Arts & Science Dean’s Office for International, Diversity and Outreach Programs is currently recruiting interns. The Inclusion and Equity Internship program is designed to expose a team of students to the scholarship and best practices concerning greater inclusiveness and equity, with the purpose of cultivating social justice leadership skills among college students.
We are looking for motivated students with a passion for diversity and social justice. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and willing to serve two consecutive academic years as an intern.
including, but not limited to
- Participate in regularly scheduled dialogues regarding issues of inclusion, equity and social justice
- Commit to 1 office hour each week
- Commit to various assigned projects
- Conceive and plan programs under the supervision of IDOP staff
- Provide assistance for various programming
This is an un-paid internship. There are, however, significant rewards associated with this position. Studies have shown that students who have participated in some type of experiential program are not only better prepared for their field, but they also perform better in school. Internships are very impressive on resumes and can boost applications. Successful internships demonstrate excellent time management skills because employers acknowledge the ability to maintain an exceptional GPA while doing field work. Credit hours may be obtained with prior approval from your unit of interest.
