In today’s economic climate, job searching can be particularly difficult. Building a resume or C.V. that highlights your experience and skills as a unique candidate for a position is a vital first step in this process. But when do you use a resume and when do you use a C.V.? How are they different? Graduate students, perhaps more than any other group, need to know how to create both a resume and a C.V., and the differences between them. Come learn about resumes and C.V.s from the ground up along with key elements and questions to consider in using one or the other.
Learning Outcomes. After attending the session, participants will:
- Understand the different reasons for using a resume or C.V.
- Understand the main characteristics of resumes and C.V.s
- Receive resources to get them started in developing or improving a resume or C.V.
