2012 Southern Anthropological Society call for abstracts and papers

The SAS is now accepting submissions for their annual 2012 meeting in March.

Anthro-Teach and the University of Alabama at Birmingham are hosting the 47th annual meeting of the Southern Anthropological Society from March 14th to the 17th of 2012.  The theme of the meeting this year is "Peace, Justice, and Environment" and will be held at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama.

Abstracts are due by December 15th and should not exceed 75 words.

A student paper competition will be held with a cash prize of $200.00 and a selection of books awarded to both a graduate and undergraduate paper author.  Winning papers will also be published by SAS.  Paper deadlines will be announced on the SAS website.

This meeting is a great opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students to present their work and experience a professional anthropological conference.
