2014 Second City Anthropology Conference Call for Papers
Present original research at Chicago conference.
We invite graduate and undergraduate students to submit proposals for the third annual Second City Anthropology Conference to be held March 8,
2014 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The conference theme will be Difference, Disruption, and Resilience: Inquiries in the Anthropology of Change.
The Second City Anthropology Conference offers graduate students in anthropology and related fields an opportunity to present original research papers in organized panels, which will conclude with discussions by anthropology faculty from local universities. There will also be a poster session for undergraduate presenters, although graduate students may also submit abstracts for posters. The conference will conclude with a keynote address by Dr. Mary Anglin, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Kentucky.
Students, faculty, and the general public are welcome to attend the conference, which will be free of charge. Lunch will also be provided to registered attendees and presenters. To access the Call for Papers flyer, information about meeting registration and abstract submission, please see here.
