Undergraduate Anthropology major, Tara Nicole (Nikki) Ardary, received an honorable mention at the 2019 Summer Research Opportunity Program Poster Day.

On August 2nd, Tara Nicole (Nikki) Ardary received an honorable mention at the 2019 Summer SROP Poster Day for her summer research project, "Inventorying, Reporting, and Communicating Human Osteological Findings from Highland Creek, KY". The project was conducted at the newly established Center for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville. The Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP), directed by the Office of the Provost and Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation, supports undergraduate students for 10 weeks during the summer as these pursue individual research agendas under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Nikki's project was supervised by Visiting Assistant Professor, Dr. Kathryn Marklein, in the Department of Anthropology.
