About

I am under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Haws, Dr. Amanuel Beyin, and Dr. Telmo Pereira.

Research Interests:

Lithic Technologies, Lithic Analysis, Prehistoric Settlement Patterns, Prehistoric Land Use and Material Acquisition, Geoarchaeology

Field Experience:

In 2013, I participated in an NSF funded project under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Haws (University of Louisville) titled, Human responses to late Pleistocene environmental change in the coastal zone of Portuguese Estremadura. The project involved geoarchaeological survey of the coastal region between Sao Pedro de Muel and Peniche, with the goal of finding evidence of coastal settlements during the Paleolithic.

In 2012, 2013, and 2014, I also participated in Haws’ excavation of the upper Paleolithic portion of the multi-component cave site, Lapa do Picareiro, which was funded by the Wenner-Gren Foundation for anthropological research, the Archaeological Institute of America, the National Geographic Society, and the University of Louisville.
