Research Interests: Human evolution; anthropological genetics; the emergence of human diseases; host-pathogen co-evolution. Allison's thesis project is a population genetics study of the males living in the Faroe Islands. By using different markers on the Y-chromosome, she hopes to distinguish between signals of ancient and more recent migrations to the isolated island archipelago.
