Tampa Bay Alumni Club and the Chi Chi Rodriquez Foundation Internship

Deadline for application each year is March 15

For the several years, the Chi Chi Rodriquez Foundation and Tampa Bay Alumni Club have sponsored a joint internship for a UofL students, generally during his/her sophomore or junior year. The 8-10 week internship allows for the Tampa Bay Club to provide you with a valuable opportunity to perform community service in exchange for financial assistance from the club. To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a quality UofL student by faculty and peers in the areas of community and academics
• Submit a resume with a cover letter to Tom Brammer
• Make a 6-8 week commitment to the internship
• Participate in Tampa Bay Club events during the internship
• Network with community leaders and organizers in the Tampa Bay area

Students are also required to provide the UofL Alumni Office with a complete summary and evaluation of events and assignments during the internship - a critical analysis is preferred.

If you are awarded this internship, you will receive $100 a week stipend in addition to $3,000 in scholarship funds. The Alumni Office will cover the costs of transportation, but you are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. Los Angeles/Southern California Alumni Club

Awarded to a regional high school senior or student currently enrolled at UofL, or another college, provided the student is from the Southern California area. The recipient shall have a 3.0 GPA in high school or previous college experience. For information on the fall scholarship, e-mail Joseph Willenbrink or call the Alumni Office at 502-852-6186.

Metro New York Alumni Club

Preference is given to Metro New York area students. The scholarship will take need into account. For information on the fall scholarships, email Steve Bizzell, president, or contact Heather Worland in the Alumni Office at 502-852-6186.

Chicago Alumni Club

Awarded to a student from Chicago or another regional club who attends UofL. For information on the fall scholarships, e-mail Jim Scott, president, or call the Alumni Office at 502-852-6186.

Houston Alumni Club

Awarded to a student from the Houston area or another regional club who attends UofL. For information on the fall scholarship, e-mail Paul Hanks, president, or call the Alumni Office at 502-852-6186.

Dallas/Ft. Worth Alumni Club
