UofL Advocates are volunteers who help the university by contacting their legislators and raising awareness in their communities.
Young Alumni

The UofL Alumni Association and the River City Alumni Club invite you to join our group of young alumni at various events throughout the year. Check out our calendar and join us at our next event. SOAR
Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) offers current UofL students the opportunity to network with alumni at events, qualify for SOAR scholarships and develop leadership skills.
Red Barn Alumni Association
Since 1969 the Red Barn as been the campus hot spot for everything from student causes to Derby parties.

Adopted Alumni
Adopted alumni status is given to individuals who did not graduate from UofL, but through their commitment to the university have become a part of the "UofL family."
Nominations are accepted from the public and the entire university community, and the Alumni Association's Executive Committee makes final approval through a majority vote.
To nominate a candidate for Adopted Alumni status, contact the Alumni Association at 502-852-6186 or 800-813-8635. All nominations must include a completed form and letter of recommendation detailing the impact of the individual's contribution to the UofL community.
Alumni Councils
Schools or colleges may form an alumni council consisting of fellow graduates to promote involvement and support of the university and alumni activities.
Kentucky Southern College Alumni Association
In 1967 this college became a part of UofL and what is now known as "Shelby Campus."
Louisville Municipal College Alumni Association
Established in 1931, this was the only black liberal arts college in Kentucky and the only one in the nation supported by city funds.
