The University of Louisville South Florida Alumni Club is back up and running, and ready for 2008. Visit www.southfloridacards.com today to get caught up on all things UofL happening here in South Florida. Here is a rundown of all the latest club news to date:

South Florida Cards Tab New Nest
After three successful years of hosting events at the Original Steakhouse in Plantation, the South Florida Alumni Club was hurt by the news of the Steakhouse closing. The news sent Club staff on a two month search for a new headquarters. Last week, South Florida Alums inked a deal with historic McGuire's Hill 16 Irish Pub and Grille in Downtown Fort Lauderdale! McGuire's, located just east of Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale, offers a centrally located establishment easy for all our tri-county members to join in on the fun! McGuire's just completed an impressive renovation, including a PRIVATE room with new HD televisions, full bar service and audio for our game viewing enjoyment. In addition, McGuire's is completing renovation and expansion on restroom facilites, and offers plenty of good food and private parking perfect for tailgating! Special thanks to club member Ben Nelson and McGuire's for bringing this deal together. McGuire's is a Fort Lauderdale mainstay and will bring a breath of fresh air into the South Florida Club for 2008.

Start this season with the South Florida Cards in style at the newly remodeled "private room" in McGuire's Hill 16 Irish Pub! We will have games, prizes, food, spirits and much much more!

UofL Alumni Association Annual Dues Drive Kicks off August
Remember, it's that time of year again to support your local UofL South Florida Alumni Club by renewing your annual club dues. This year is going to be better than ever, but it takes your support to make it happen. Last year, club dues help build our endowment, enabled us to host several events and ultimately allowed us to become among the best in the land. Improvement is based soley on your support.
