Unit Advising Information: School of Nursing
Advising Requirements
Undergraduate nursing students are required to be advised if:
- they have completed less than 28 hours
- they have transferred or have been admitted for less than one semester
- they have been conditionally admitted
- they are on an academic warning or academic probation status
Any student not in one of the above categories is encouraged to schedule an advising appointment if assistance is needed regarding course selection.
Advising Availability
School of Nursing students who need advising should call the Office of Student Services at (502) 852-1196 to schedule an appointment. Advisors' offices are located at the Health Sciences Center; however, appointments are available on Belknap Campus during registration for continuing undergraduate students.
Transfer Students
In order to be advised, all transfer students must submit an application to the Office of Admissions http://louisville.edu/admissions/apply/requirements/transfer. Once accepted, transfer students must then sign up for their Transfer Student Orientation http://louisville.edu/admissions/orientation/transfer-adult. Please contact the appropriate advisor listed below after completing both of these steps.
