Fall 2012 Flash Mob to Promote Academic Advising at UofLWhat:All students interested in participating in a Zombie Crawl and Flash Mob to promote academic advising at UofL are invited to learn the "Thriller" dance by viewing the instructional videos on this webpage. Academic advisors and students will "Zombie Crawl" to a pre-determined location on campus and will perform the dance in true Flash Mob style. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about academic advising on campus so that students understand how academic advisors can assist them to be successful in their academic career. The event will be videotaped and photographed and the video will be posted on YouTube. When:The Flash Mob will take place in September 2012. In order to participate, interested students must attend at least one of the several practice sessions (listed below) where they will be able to practice the dance. At the practice session, students will sign up to receive an email or text message one week before the Flash Mob will take place, informing them of the date, time, and location of the Flash Mob. Entire Dance with Counts First, Then with Music.(Note: Due to Copyright laws, we could only play the first part of "Thriller" before Michael Jackson starts singing. If you want to practice the dance with the words at home, you will begin the dance on count 1, at 41 seconds in to the original song. In the video above, we are walking in like zombies for the first 40 seconds of the original song, and we begin the dance at 41 seconds into the original song.
