First, follow the instructions (pdf) to complete the change major request form, which is located in ULink under the “student services” tab. Once you’ve completed the form, please contact the advising unit of the school or college you wish to enter. They will provide you with the appropriate information on how to submit a petition in their unit.

If you would like to change out of one major and into another, including an undecided status, please follow the instructions (pdf) to complete the change major request form, which is located in ULink under the “student services” tab. The change may be within your same school/college or a change between schools/colleges. It is recommended that students consult with an academic advisor or a career coach prior to making the request.

If you are looking to keep your current major and add another major or minor, follow the instructions (pdf) to complete the change major request form.

If you are classified as an intended major, but have not completed the minimum requirements to declare the major, please follow the instructions (pdf) to complete the change major request form to declare your major. You can also use the form if you have not yet been accepted to your college of choice, and would like to request admission as a current student.

The university provides an electronic form for students requesting to change their major, which you can find in ULink under the “student services” tab. Completing this form does not guarantee admission to the major you wish to declare; rather, you will receive notification of the decision of the program via e-mail.
