Get Healthy Now

Get Healthy Now is a health management program that provides participants with health education and exercise programs and access to health coaches, both in person and via telephone. The program is designed to help UofL employees take a pro-active approach to their health management and to help the university slow the rise of costs associated with its health benefit.

In addition, you save $20 per month on your health insurance premium when you participate in Get Healthy Now if you are enrolled in a UofL health plan. Supplemental education programs and exercise facilities through Get Healthy Now are conveniently located on campus.

What do I have to do during Open Enrollment?
Health Plan Participants:
  • To enroll in Get Healthy Now: • Between Oct. 22 and Nov. 16, complete the online health risk assessment, even if you are a member or previously have been. Both your user name and password will be your UofL employee number. • In December, a Health Fitness Corp. representative will call you to let you know the next steps to take to enroll in Get Healthy Now.
  • To enroll your spouse or a qualifying adult in Get Healthy Now: Have your spouse complete the online health risk assessment using your employee number plus the letters "sp" (ex: 12345567sp) as both their user name and password. Qualifying adults will add "qa" to your employee number for their user name and password.
  • If you participated in 2007 but don't want to in 2008, do nothing.
Employees who waive UofL health coverage:
  • To participate in the Get Healthy Now: • Complete the Waiver/Get Healthy Now Registration Form**. • Take the Health Fitness Corp. online health risk assessment for your own informational purposes. You will be able to print out your results. You will not participate with a HFC health coach. Your cost is $20 per month, payable only by payroll deduction. Your spouse is not eligible to be in Get Healthy Now.
  • If you enrolled in 2007 as a waiver and want to continue participating in 2008, you must complete the Waiver/Get Healthy Now Registration Form** again. Otherwise, you will not be enrolled.
Heads Up
  • The personal information you give on the Health Fitness Corp. health risk assessment and any information from your Get Healthy Now health or fitness profile is confidential. Health Fitness Corp. and Get Healthy Now cannot provide a person’s information to anyone. Health Fitness Corp. does compile all data into an anonymous group summary to help Human Resources determine the types of programs that might benefit the entire group of employees participating in Get Healthy Now.
  • If your health risk assessment identifies any risks, you must enroll in a Health Fitness Corp. health improvement program and maintain contact with a Health Fitness Corp. health coach to receive the monthly deduction refund of $20 on your paycheck. If you do not maintain contact with a Health Fitness Corp. health coach throughout the year, you will lose your discount.
  • Get Healthy Now classes and workout facility are not open to people who have not enrolled in Get Healthy Now.
