We look forward to seeing you at this exclusive preview event for select students who have demonstrated academic success in their high school careers. During Accolade, you'll learn about the University Honors Program, merit-based and mentored scholarships, and other specialized educational opportunities. You'll tour UofL's campus, meet current students and professors, and more.

Time Event Description

8:45-9:45 a.m.

Early Bird Campus Tour


Visitors must indicate interest on registration to attend

 

Enjoy a 60-minute walking tour of campus led by current UofL students (Cardinal Guides and Diversity Student Ambassadors for Admissions). Tours include campus highlights like the Student Activities Center (SAC), Student Recreation Center (SRC), Ekstrom Library, and the Belknap Academic Building. Please note that these tours will not stop at a residence hall, owing to tours being available in Belknap Village North (traditional) and Kurz Hall (suite-style).

10-10:45 a.m.

Welcome Session

(Student Activities Center, 2nd Floor Ballroom)

UofL President Dr. Kim Schatzel and current UofL senior Klemmer Nicodemus will welcome visitors to the event and talk about the possibilities that UofL offers to academically ambitious students.  Stephanie Dickerson from UofL Admissions will provide an overview of the day and scholarship opportunities.  Dr. Jasmine Farrier will give a brief presentation about the benefits of the University Honors Program.  

11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Academic Unit Meetings

Meet representatives from your academic area of interest (or two!).  Learn about admissions requirements, program details, and opportunities for learning inside and outside of the classroom.  Make the most of conversations with UofL faculty and staff to go beyond what you want to do and starting finding out what you can do at UofL!

12:15-1:15 p.m.

Lunch

Students and guests will have lunch with their units/departments from the academic meetings. If you attend more than one academic meeting, please choose only one location to share lunch with your future fellow Cardinals! view locations

1:15-2:15 p.m.

2:30-3:30 p.m.

1:30-2:00 p.m.

Workshops & Presentations

Choose from a variety of offerings during each 30-minute workshop session. Hear from experts on major university topics like financial aid, student involvement, university housing, and numerous other opportunities that you can make the most of to find academic success as a Cardinal!

Open Houses

Stop by any time during the afternoon at the listed locations to learn more about these important U of L offices and services!

There's more! 

  • Parking is free. View directions and parking information.
  • A light continental breakfast will be provided before the welcome session.
  • Campus tours are available throughout the day, or use our self-guided mobile tour to explore on your own. 
  • Starbucks will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and is located on the east side of the Student Activities Center near the Campus Store.
  • The Campus Store will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and visitors can receive a discount. 
  • Admissions staff will be stationed around campus to answer questions about the event schedule or help you find your way. 
  • Admissions staff will also be stationed in the Student Activities Center and the Belknap Academic Building from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
