ULEAD - Early Admission to Dentistry
ULEAD recognizes the achievement of scholars committed to a career in dentistry. If awardees participate in programing, maintain a designated GPA, and achieve the required score on the DAT, they are automatically admitted to dental school upon completion of their bachelor's degree and pre-dentistry requirements. Ten scholars are selected each year, and interviews are scheduled in March.
ULEAD applicants must:
- Have a 30 ACT or 1340 (CR + M) SAT
- Have a high school GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Graduate high school in 2009
- Be a resident of Kentucky
- Submit two personal statement essays stating the reasons to become a dentist
- Submit letters of recommendation:
Two letters from teachers
One letter from a community member
- Submit documentation of at least 12 hours of observation of dental practice
