Use this list as a guide so that you are sure to take care of important business before the start of school in January. Pay special attention to some items that should be done before your orientation session.

1. Know your student ID number. This number is on your Certificate of Admission.
2. Learn how to check your UofL email accounts. Many departments will only send information to you through your UofL account. Go to the UofL homepage and select the ULink option. Click on first-time users and follow instructions.
3. If you are planning to live on campus please apply for housing as soon as possible. You can apply for housing online. Visit louisville.edu/student/housing to submit your application online.
4. Submit your orientation registration request online.
5. Review your Financial Aid award letter, please feel free to contact the financial aid office with questions.
6. Review the information for your academic major on the UofL homepage to prepare for your academic advising appointment. Academic departments can be found through the UofL homepage under each unit.
7. You MUST review and complete the assessments for STOMP prior to your academic advising appointment. You will be unable to make that appointment before you score 70% or better on the STOMP assessment.
8. Be sure to activate your Higher One card.  This is a requirement for all students.  See https://uoflonecard.higheroneaccount.com/ for details.
