Beginning Friday, August 1, 2008 the Online Transfer Program will not be required.  In order to register for classes, you must meet with an academic adviser from your declared academic unit.  All transfer students are welcome to complete the online orientation and review the information provided through blackboard.  Steps to logging into Blackboard and completing the online program are as follows:

1.    Log onto Blackboard (blackboard.louisville.edu) using your UofL user ID and password.

2.    Look under “My Organizations" for your orientation course link.  After you've clicked on the link to enter the course, look among the tabs on the left for “STOMP Modules.”

(For those who not have access to high speed Internet, we have a limited supply of STOMP DVDs.  To receive a DVD, send an email with the subject line “Orientation” to admitme@louisville.edu and include your name, student ID and current mailing address.)

3.    Watch the Introduction and the Technology modules first.  

4.    In your Blackboard Transfer Orientation Course, look among the tabs on the left for the “Assessment” tab to take the corresponding Technology Module quiz.  

5.    Once you score a 70% or higher on the first quiz, you can view the next module and take the next assessment until you have completed all four quizzes with a 70% or higher.

6.    If you need help, first check the FAQs in your Transfer Orientation Blackboard course.

•    If you have an error message on one of your quizzes or you are scoring a 70% or higher but still not seeing subsequent quizzes, send an email with the subject line “Orientation” to admitme@louisville.edu and explain your problem.

•    If you are having trouble logging into Blackboard, or viewing the modules or assessments, call the IT Helpdesk at 502-852-7997.

 

All transfer students should plan to attend our on campus open house/orientation on August 14, 2008 from 3 - 6 p.m. in the Student Activities Center, Multipurpose Room.  Representatives from REACH, Student Activities, Transfer Services, ULtra, Parking, Athletics, Campus Health and more will be available during that time in an information fair style.  Campus tours will take place at 3:30 p.m. and leave from the Floyd Theatre foyer.  REGISTRATION FOR THIS PROGRAM IS NOT REQUIRED.
