Family Scholar House Service Project
The Family Scholar House is headquartered in Louisville, KY. As a volunteer for Family Scholar House, you get the opportunity to help single-parent students, experiencing unstable housing pursue a four-year college degree. Your support through activities like mentoring, tutoring and donations help give these single parents the support they need to pursue higher education degrees. It is our hope that through education and your support, we can effectively help them break the cycle of poverty for their children and future generations.
Children Book Drive
March 2010 will mark the opening of our new children’s library. Family Scholar House needs your support to fill it up! We want to instill the love for learning at the earliest ages of the children in our program. Family Scholar House would like for each SROW attendee to donate their favorite children’s book to our library. On the inside cover, put your name, school and add a personal message about what it meant for you to go to college. Your gift will have a lasting educational impact on hundreds of families and inspire children to pursue a four-year college degree.
We ask that attendees bring their books and/or items with them to SROW check-in. There will be a designated table to turn in all donations for the Family Scholar House.

Family Scholar House has an on-going donation drives to support our families’ needs when food stamps cannot be used. These items include:
