Parking Information and Directions

Freshman and Transfers - when you arrive to check-in for your orientation session you will need to park in the Floyd Street Garage. Be sure to put your printed copy of the electronic confirmation on your dashboard. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU ARE PARKING. IF YOU PULL INTO THE VISITOR LOT, WHICH IS A HOURLY PAY LOT, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING TO LEAVE THE LOT. Orientation has made special arrangements for participants to park on the general side of the lot across from the playground and diagonally across from McDonalds.

PARENTS-When you come to pick up your student on Day 2 at the end of the program you may temporarily park in the open lot next to Miller Residence Hall. PLEASE DO NOT PARK HERE ON DAY 1 of the orientation program.

Directions to the Floyd Street Parking Garage

The exits for the University of Louisville are directly off of I-65 North or South.

1. If coming from I-265 (Gene Snyder) or I-264 (Watterson Expressway), you will want to head North on I-65.
2. If coming from I-71 South or I-64 East or West, you will want to head south on I-65.
    

Directions if Traveling I-65 South

1. Take I-65 South (Toward Nashville), to the Arthur Street exit (Exit 134). If you reach the Fairgrounds / Watterson Expressway exits, you have gone too far.
2. Continue to the first stop sign, Arthur Street and Brandeis Avenue.
3. Turn right onto Brandeis Avenue / Cardinal Boulevard.
4. Turn left onto Floyd Street.
5. The first building on your right is the Student Activities Center.
6. Turn right into the garage at the stoplight NOT the flashing light. 
    

Directions if Traveling I-65 North

1. Take I-65 North (Toward Indianapolis) to the first Eastern Parkway exit (west 133A).
2. There is a stop sign at the end of the exit ramp.
3. Veer right, following the curve around to the left turn lane at the traffic light at Eastern Parkway and Crittenden Dr. (Denny's is on the corner).
4. Turn left at the light onto Crittenden Drive
5. Veer left onto Warnock (at Subway).
6. Turn right onto Floyd St. (At McDonalds).
7. Turn left into the garage at the first stoplight NOT the flashing light.
