370-439 Spanish 201
440-599 Spanish 321 or 322

TEST OUT OF SPANISH WITH THE CLEP EXAM:
Credit can be awarded based on scores from the CLEP exam, which is administered by the Office of Testing Services. Prior arrangements with the testing center must be made, and there is a fee for each subject examination. Get more information.

CREDIT IS AWARDED IS FOLLOWS
Score of 50-65, 8 hours of credit, may be used in place of SPAN 121 and 122.
Score of 66 or higher, 12 hours of credit, may be used in place of SPAN 121, 122, 123.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE CLEP EXAM?
1. Students who place into Spanish 201 or French 320, or higher and wish to satisfy the requirement without taking a language course. (Students who test into lower levels may have a harder time achieving a score that will grant them credit.)
2. Students with a native background or other significant experience in the language.
