Transfer applicants are students who attended a college other than UofL (not including dual credit completed during high school). Transfer students will need to complete a Take Flight Application and request all official transcripts from every institution attended.* For directions on how to request transcripts, please see our FAQs.

The University of Louisville admits students on a rolling basis, so once you submit your application, you can expect to hear about our admission decision within 5-7 business days.

The Fall 2027 application opens on Aug. 1, 2026.

New transfer students, who visit campus between June 1 and Aug. 1, can apply to UofL for free for Fall 2027!

• Students must apply to UofL for Fall 2027.
• Students must attend a campus visit presentation and tour between June 1 and Aug. 1. View calendar and schedule a visit.
• Students must apply with the SAME email address used to register for the campus visit. 
• Subject to tour availability.
