Upper-Division Nursing Program
This program guarantees incoming freshmen a spot in the upper-division program when they begin their first year at UofL. Ten spaces are reserved for high school seniors who will be first-time freshmen at the University of Louisville in the fall semester, and 10 spaces are reserved for students who have successfully completed the first semester of full-time course work and meet the requirements. Students selected for early admission will be required to maintain a specific GPA in the lower division and will agree to begin upper-division courses for a specific semester.
Guaranteed Early Admission Applicants must:
- 25 ACT or 1130 SAT (CR + M)
- 3.35 GPA
- Submit an essay of 500 words or less describing an interest in a career in nursing
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a high school guidance counselor
- Accept a start date to begin upper-division courses for a specific semester
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher each semester of enrollment in the lower division.
