Harlan Scholars
Guaranteed Entrance to Law School
This program will guarantee entrance to law school for students who demonstrate commitment to public service, leadership, and who have excellent academic credentials. Qualified students will be selected for a interview in March. Selected students who participate in programing, maintain a designated GPA, and score on the 75th percentile or above on the LSAT are automatically admitted to the Brandeis School of Law upon completion of their bachelor's degree. Ten students are awarded each year.
Harlan Scholars Applicants must:
- Graduate high school in 2010
- Have a 24 ACT or 1090 SAT (CR+M)
- Have a 3.35 GPA
- Submit an essay (400 words or less): describe yourself and state why you are interested in a legal career including your conception of justice and how you envision using your legal education to promote justice.
- Submit letters of recommendation
- From high school principal or counselor
- From a high school teacher
- From a non-family, non-high school adult who can address your character, your writing ability, critical problem-solving skills, leadership skills, and potential for a career in law
