Priority Admissions Program for Communication Art and Design
The Communication Art & Design (CA&D) studio art track is a professional preparatory program leading to a bachelor of fine arts degree. The program is intended to prepare students to eventually assume leadership positions in the field of graphic design. Admission to the program is competitive.
The priority admissions program gives students an assurance they will be admitted to the BFA track for CA&D provided their final assignment totals are in the top 50% of the Introduction to Graphic Design course and they maintain the overall and departmental GPA minimum requirements (2.25 overal/3.0 departmental).
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
- 27 ACT or 1210 SAT (CR and M)
- 3.2 GPA
- Acceptance as a major in fine arts
- Suppelmental application for priority admission to CA&D, which includes:
- One essay discussing the role graphic design plays in contemporary society (500-750 words)
