• Kathleen Maddox Fritsch Award - An award given each year to outstanding paralegal students.
• Louis C. Kesselman Memorial Awards - Cash awards to an outstanding junior and senior who are majoring in political science.
• McConnell Political Leadership Fund - Annually underwrites ten full, four-year scholarships to outstanding Kentucky high school seniors who have shown leadership ability. The students are selected by the entire faculty of the department on a nonpartisan basis.
• Israel Naamani Award - An annual award for outstanding service to the department, given by Pi Sigma Alpha to a member of the faculty, staff or student body.
• Eleanor O'Sullivan Award & Jean O'Sullivan Award - Awards given annually to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students in political science. The Eleanor O'Sullivan Memorial Awarad is given to outstanding undergraduate women students who plan to attend graduate school or law school. The Jean O'Sullivan Award supports a graduate fellowship for an outstanding student.
• Erin Lyons Rouse Award - An annual award given to a student who has not only excelled academically but has shown exemplary spirit and outstanding service to the University and to the community.
