Preventing Workplace Violence
Extreme incidents like
bombings, terrorist attacks, and murders appear in the
headlines; however, unpublicized events like threats,
harassment, intimidation, stalking, and physical violence
are far more commonplace. Left unchecked, these types of
incidents can lead to more serious and tragic situations.
During this must-attend
seminar, you'll learn about risk factors, warning signs, and
strategies for prevention, reaction and response. You'll
leave this workshop with an emergency plan that is unique to
your organization, your needs, and your situation.
You Will Develop Skills for:
- Assessing your work area for potential risk
- Performing basic self-defense techniques
- Offering recommendations for your organization's
workplace violence policy
- Recognizing warning signs
- Establishing a "buddy system" warning process
- Defusing hostile, angry people
