Basic CPTED

Earn your  Basic CPTED Certificate today!

What is Crime Prevention through Environmental Design or CPTED? Put simply, it is a way to design out crime.

CPTED is based on the concept that proper design and effective use of the built environment can lead to a reduction in both the incidence and fear of crime while also improving quality of life.

Strategies implemented from this multi-discipline approach have been adopted by numerous national and international professional organizations. Now is the time for Law Enforcement Officers, Planners, Architects, City Officials, and Educators to learn how to effectively utilize CPTED strategies to prevent crime in their businesses, schools, neighborhoods and overall communities in a way that is safe, attractive and cost-effective!

This four-day Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) Approved  Basic CPTED seminar is essential for crime prevention practitioners, law enforcement officers, community planners, architects, landscape architects city officials, educators and other key professions involved in facility planning, design, development and maintenance.
