Chandresh “Chando” Shah is a junior Biology major from the Louisville area. His face might already be familiar to you for several reasons. Chando is an Honors Scholar, Honors Freshman Guide mentor, Honors Shadow Host and Honors Modes of Inquiry assistant. When he is not lending his time to these activities or studies he enjoys hanging out with his friends and working out. Chando’s favorite U of L sport is basketball but football is a close second for him. He has a vast appreciation for diversity particularly in his food selections. He “loves it all as long as it’s vegetarian!” If he had to describe himself in one word he would say, “very smart”; clearly he likes to make people laugh. That is two words. He sees making a person’s day better through laughter as his effort to make the world a better place. His words of advice to his peers, “Enjoy college, don’t let it stress you out too much; that goes for life as well. (But don’t blow off tests either.)” Next time you see Chando around be sure to ask him to demonstrate how he can “play” his knuckles, but at the very least be sure to spend some face time with him.
Boris Yelin, pictured here displaying his infamous dancing face, is a sophomore Political Science and Latin American Studies major. Although he now calls Louisville home he once called Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Miami, Florida home. In his free time Boris enjoys dancing and listening to music. He is also a McConnell Scholar, Harlan Scholar, Spanish Club and
